All of God, into All of His People,
into All of All Nations

This thought has been resonating in my heart over the last several weeks. I have been unable to continue the regular writing of the "Thoughts for the Week" until I share what I have been given on this theme; therefore I will be doing a series of daily reflections on this theme. They will also be posted on our website, so you can also follow along there and see all that has been brought forth.

The components of this theme are as follows:

All of God: God wants us to know Him, to know all about Him. He wants us to know each person of the Godhead--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--and to intimately know His names, His character, and His very being. Jesus, knowing God, said, "I and My Father are one" (John 10:30). The Bible says, "In Him dwelt all the fullness of God" (Colossians 2:9). He showed us that it was possible for a human to be filled with the fullness of God. He wants that for us. Paul prayed that we might know the greatness of the love of Christ and be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). This is a humanly incomprehensible concept. Yet it is what God wants to do for us, by having Christ in us and making us a temple of His dwelling. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Into All of All of His People: God wants to dwell in all of me, in every part of me--my spirit, soul, and body. He wants to dwell in my conscience so that I become aware of His presence and will in all situations. He wants to dwell in my imagination so I am able to keep Him before me, see and know His glorious face, and see Him changing me from one degree of glory into another. He wants to dwell in my mind so that I am continually receiving and reflecting on His Word and will through the power and presence of His Spirit in me. He wants to dwell in my emotions so that I am receiving and living in His love, and loving others with His love flowing through me. He wants to dwell in my will so that my will becomes united with His, I will His will, and He can honor my will because it is one with His. He wants to dwell in each of my body parts so that my words and actions reflect His presence in me, whether I am singing songs to Him or expressing His beauty through drawing, writing, dancing, etc., or whether I am simply doing the tasks He has given me to do so that He can manifest Himself through me in all places He sends me.

God would bring all of Himself into all of ALL His people. I will never be complete without receiving from and giving to His people. All of God's people need healing from the spiritual and emotional wounds we have received from this world. We all have sinned and need to experience God's love and forgiveness. We all have gone astray, seeking fulfillment in the ways of this world. God has created us with the need to be one with Him, and with people who need Him and seek to be one with Him. As we work with, share with, minister to and with, and become united with His people we can know Him, be healed by Him, serve and minister to Him and others, and fulfill our God-given destiny for ourselves, others, and all His creation

Into All of All Nations: All nations and people groups have great wealth; they all have unique characteristics, talents, resources and destinies. Jesus told us to go into all the nations. We need to bring what God has given us into all nations. God wants to reveal Himself to all nations and desires that the wealth of all nations be brought under His authority so that it can be used for His plans and purposes. The life of God in us wants us to be involved with His international plans and purposes, through prayer and actions of expressed concern. Jesus said that His house would be a house of prayer for all nations.

We need not to just disciple people from all nations, but we are called to disciple the nations. We are to affect all activities of all nations with the ways and moral standards of Christ. The structures of the nations, the personal lives, the family standards and life, the workplace standards and life, the educational standards and life, the governmental standards and life are all to be affected and monitored by Christ, through us. This can happen by having people filled with the Spirit of God bringing the presence and ways of God into all parts of society. This will not happen by our forcibly taking over, but by our showing the love and wisdom of God to all. God will reward His ways and will destroy the ways of evil that keep His kingdom from coming forth through His people. We have been praying, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done." Expect this to happen as God is responding to our prayers.

We will be sharing on this theme in the days ahead. Please pray for us to be faithful to bring forth what we have been given. Blessings to all.

Father, we rejoice in You and in Your desires for us, for all of Your people, for the nations and for all parts of all of us and all parts of all our nations. Help us to follow and participate with You as You bring all things into Christ. Amen.

All of God, into All of His People,
into All of All Nations

Following are some basic Scriptures on this theme; read them, reflect on them, let Christ speak them to you, and ask the Holy Spirit to make them a living part of you.

Know All of God

God created us so we could know each other. To know, in the Biblical sense, is to be intimate with; to be familiar with through experience; to understand the motives, the desires, the character and the mannerisms of. God created us with a free will, with the ability to choose. Man chose to know evil, by eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That is the nature of Satan. He knew good but chose to rebel against God and now knows evil. He can pretend to do good, but it is only for his own rebellious and self-seeking desires. Jesus knew His Father--before He became a man, while He was weak like a man, and now as a glorified man, filled with all the glory of God. He wants the best for us. He wants us to know all of God as He did.

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3 NKJ)

"the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." (Daniel 11:32 NKJ)

Know the Names of God; they describe His Character, Ministry and Glory

Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth." (Exodus 34:5-6 NKJ)

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6 NKJ)

"The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD." (Isaiah 11:2 NKJ)

Know the plans, the ways and the principles of God

"He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel." (Psalm 103:7 NKJ)

"Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways." (Psalm 128:1 NKJ)

"Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7 NKJ)

"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." (John 16:13 NKJ)

"I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them." (Ezekiel 36:27 NKJ)

Godís Desire for Us

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen." (2 Corinthians 13:14 NKJ)

All of God, into All of His People,
into All of All Nations

We continue our series of daily reflections on the theme that has been on my heart for the last several weeks. In addition to daily emails, they will be posted on our website, so you can follow along there and see the entire series. The first one was posted on April 14, 2008.

Following are more basic Scriptures on this theme; as you read and reflect on them, let Christ speak them to you, and ask the Holy Spirit to make them a living part of you.

Listen to the voice of God; He has always been speaking.

"God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;" (Hebrews 1:1-2 NKJ)

"See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, 'Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.'" (Hebrews 12:25-26 NKJ)

Know and reflect on what He has said. Meditate on the Word of God; I can't always be reading it but I can be reflecting on it.

"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night." (Psalm 1:1-2 NKJ)

"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things." (Philippians 4:8 NKJ)

"And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, 'This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!'" (Mark 9:7 NKJ)

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." (Colossians 3:16 NKJ)

As we reflect on the Word of God, Jesus will become more real to us and more active in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1 NKJ)

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14 NKJ)

"For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one." (I John 5:7 NKJ)

"And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life." (I John 5:20 NKJ)

"He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God." (Revelation 19:13 NKJ)

Father, we rejoice in You and in Your desires for us. We rejoice that You have spoken to us through Your Son and that He is the WORD of God. Holy Spirit, help us to read, reflect on, and bring the Word of God into all of our being and to speak forth the words God gives us to speak. Amen.

All of God, into All of His People,
into All of All Nations

Some basic Scriptures on this theme -- read them, reflect on them, let Christ speak them to you, and seek the Holy Spirit to make them a living part of you.

Know all of God -- Know all the Ministries of the Persons of God

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen." (2 Corinthians 13:14 NKJ)

The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ

God created us to know Him, to receive His life into our being, and to be empowered by His Spirit. Man sinned and needed to be restored to God's plan and purposes. Jesus, the Son of God, became man. Though He was God, He became a man, like us. Though He had the nature of God, He became weak like us and was dependent upon the Holy Spirit for empowerment. He received empowerment from the Holy Spirit to live a sinless life and to do great miracles. He received empowerment from the Holy Spirit to suffer and die for us, taking our sins into hell and being raised from the dead. He received empowerment from the Holy Spirit to reign over all spiritual beings. Now He has been empowered to send forth the Holy Spirit into us. We can receive the grace of God by accepting what Jesus has done. We can live in the grace of God by letting Jesus' life live in us, uniting us with Him. We can receive the grace of God and have the power of the Holy Spirit working in us so that we can live above the ways of sin, showing others the reality of the presence and power of God living in us.

The Bible says:

"And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him." (Luke 2:40 NKJ)

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14 NKJ)

"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." (Acts 10:38 NKJ)

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." (Luke 4:18-19 NKJ)

"And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace." (John 1:16 NKJ)

"For if by the one manís offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:17 NKJ)

"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me." (1 Corinthians 15:10 NKJ)

"We then, as workers together with Him, also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain." (2 Corinthians 6:1 NKJ)

Father, we thank You for all that You offer us through giving Jesus grace for us. Help us to receive His grace and to live in His life which knows and depends upon Your grace. Thank You for Your patience with us in showing us how to receive and appropriate all You have for us in Christ. Amen.

All of God, into All of His People,
into All of All Nations

As you read and reflect on these basic Scriptures on this theme, let Christ speak them to you, and ask the Holy Spirit to make them a living part of you.

Know all of God - Know all the Ministries of the Persons of God

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen." (2 Corinthians 13:14 NKJ)

The Love of God

It takes the nature of God to love God. In our natural state we want to do our own will, and we will only consider doing God's will if the reward is sufficient. The beauty of God's nature and the surpassing greatness of His will are not appreciated. Jesus loved doing His Father's will; He was God. He loved God with the nature of God. He wants us to know the joy of living in and doing God's will. He wants us to know the love of God. He wants us to know that God loves us, but He knows that it is even better to love what God loves. This is what God wants to give us; He wants to put His nature into us and unite us with Himself so that we love what He loves. It is good to have a love for God. It is even better to have the love of God. He wants us to enjoy His heavenly place where His will is loved, received and done, because He knows that is the best thing for all of His creation. Through Jesus this can happen to us.

"But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJ)

"All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him." (Matthew 11:27NKJ)

"His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature." (2 Peter 1:3-4 NKJ)

"God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." (Colossians 1:27 NKJ)

"...that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height--to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJ)

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." (I John 2:15 NKJ)

"Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them." (John 17:24-26 NKJ)

Father, we rejoice in Your love. Your love is holy and pure and everlasting, far above ours. We rejoice that You love us. We especially rejoice that through Christ living in us we can have Your love in us so we can love what You love. How blessed we are not only to be loved by You but to be united with Your love through Christ living in us and imparting His love into us through Your Holy Spirit. We are truly blessed to be Your children! Amen.
