Being Saved by His Life

For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” (Romans 5:10 NKJ)

The thought that Jesus Cares has been resounding in my spirit, burning in my heart, and begging to be released. I will continue to convey some thoughts about this topic in these daily meditations.

Jesus came to give us life--a new life. He came, born of a woman, in the likeness of our sinful flesh, yet He was not born of a man. He did not come out of the loins of His earthly father, as all of us have; rather, He was placed in Mary’s womb by a sovereign work of the Holy Spirit. Thus He brought a new life into humanity. He was weak like we are, subject to His human condition and needing empowerment and revelation from the Holy Spirit as we do. He lived in spiritual communion with His Father, doing only what He saw His Father doing. He spoke what He sensed in His spirit His Father wanted Him to say. He knew the joy of living in union with His Father, having lived that way as God in eternity. He knew the potential we as humans had of being one with God; He had created us to be that way. He knew we would fall into sin by eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, wanting to decide things by ourselves, like Satan. He knew He would have to come into humanity and become the “second Adam,” so we could be restored. He knew what it would cost Him to become the sin-bearer for us. He knew these things and yet He still did them, becoming the focal point of God’s ability to completely redeem us and all of His creation. He knew and did this because He cared.

He cared for His Father, wanting to see His Father’s will and purposes accomplished. He cared for us, living the life we were intended to live, and now able to impart that life into us and to deliver us out of our old life so we can live in and with Him--live in God. This is what God has planned for us, done for us, and is able to continually do in us, because He cares, and He manifests His care in the reality that Jesus Cares. Let us continually receive His life and let it flow into us and through us into this world so that those around us will know and experience the reality that JESUS CARES.

Father, we rejoice in You and in the truth of Your love for us. Thank You that through Jesus we can know and live in this reality, because JESUS CARES. Help us to see Him in glory and to continually receive life from Him. Amen.

Being Saved by His Life

“For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” (Romans 5:10 NKJ)

Jesus Cares. He died to save me from God’s wrath. He took my sin upon Himself so that He could receive grace and empowerment from His Father to overcome my sinful ways, when He went to the cross. He did God’s will while on the cross, praying for forgiveness for those--including ourselves--who wanted Him dead. He reached out to the dying thief, and to His mother, while carrying my sinful ways on Himself. He died for and with my sin, overcoming my sinful ways in the process.

Now He lives in heaven as my High Priest, able to impart His life into me through the Holy Spirit. God can and has transferred me out of my old life into His life. I am alive in Christ! His life is alive in me! His life is saving me from the ways of the world, from the ways of my flesh, and from the ways of Satan. His life is saving me into the life of God--into the plans and purposes God had (and still has) for me and for His creation when He formed the heavens and the earth.

The life Jesus has for me has not only saved me from sin, but that new life has saved me into the life and purposes God has ordained for me from eternity. He died to give me life, so that I no longer live for myself, but I live for Him. I no longer have to be subject to the ways of men, but I can be empowered by the Holy Spirit and live above the ways of this world. Through the new life in me, I can now come boldly to the heavenly throne of grace and receive each day the revelation, wisdom, righteousness and purposes God has ordained for me from the foundation of the world.

The new life Christ has for me is a life that lives under the supernatural empowerment and direction of the Holy Spirit of God. This is the way Jesus lived while on earth, and the way He can now enable me to live in as I learn to live in union with the Holy Spirit as He did.

This new life enables me to affect my surroundings with the presence of God, rather than having to live under the dictates of the spirits of this world and the influence of people. As this new life grows in me I become more like Christ, and others can see the dramatic and supernatural character of God that is coming forth. Life becomes a supernatural adventure to be received, experienced and manifested, rather than something to be endured. Hallelujah!

Father, we rejoice in Your life in Christ and that You live in us through Him. Help us to receive and manifest all that You have and want for us to be in this new life. Amen.

Being Saved by His Life

For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” (Romans 5:10 NKJ)

Jesus Cares. He came to give me life--a life that is one with that of His Father. He lived in union with His Father. He loved His Father, He trusted in His ways and knew that His Father had a plan and destiny for Him, so that God’s plans and purposes for His creation could be accomplished. He became the Lamb who was slain so that He could become our heavenly King and High Priest who reigns and is able and commissioned to impart His life and ways into us. As our High Priest, Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to us so that we can know and receive all God has for us. We can be united with the life of God as Jesus was and is, and live in communion and deep fellowship with the Father, through the Holy Spirit, as Jesus did while on earth and as He now does and imparts in His heavenly role.

The life of Jesus in us wants us to be in union with God, and wants others to know the blessing of living in and for God as He did. The life of Jesus wants to be communicated into all of our being--spirit, soul and body. The life of Jesus wants us to know and see what God is doing, to feel and be influenced by the feelings and emotions of God, and to be united with the plans and purposes of God. God is united with Himself; He is not drawn or distracted by conflicting thoughts or desires that are not in His will. God is united within Himself; the Father, Son and Spirit are one with each other. God is happy with His ways and invites us to be like Him--subject of course to the limitations of our humanity. We too can become united with our self, as we come increasingly into Him. We can become set apart or sanctified in our whole spirit, soul, and body, through the work of the Holy Spirit. We can become ever more fully united with all God has for us and has created and purposed for us to be in Christ. God has promised to unite us in Him through Christ. He has stated that the world will know the reality of what God has done in Christ and can do through Him, as He shows the world His ways and character through us, as we abide in Jesus.

We are living in times when the reality of God in Christ in us is continually increasing. The world desperately needs to see this, and to desire and receive it. I believe God is ready to move in this greater dimension in our lives. These are dark days, but the greatness of the light of God in us is increasing. He has promised to do this for His creation. It will happen as the world knows and receives the truth that Jesus Cares.

Father, we rejoice that You care and have a plan to manifest Yourself to the world through Your Son and through our being united with Him in You. Help us to receive, know, and manifest this truth. Amen.
